> Available anatomy, detector setup, simulated views, bone variations, and known limitations for the knee simulation module.

## Quick reference

| Question                             | What to expect                                                                                                                      |
| ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Which projections are confirmed?** | AP and cross-table lateral knee views. |
| **Can users try other projections?** | **Yes.** These are confirmed examples. Other projections may be possible when the simulated setup supports them. |
| **What anatomy is included?** | Tibia, fibula, femur, and patella. |
| **What setup is used?** | Free plating and mobile detector cart workflow with the patient supine. |
| **What movement is included?** | Hip internal and external rotation, leg adduction and abduction, and patient craniocaudal and mediolateral adjustment. |
| **What bone variations exist?** | Healthy bone version and osteoarthrosis version. |
| **Known limitation** | The patient remains supine. Standing and side-lying lateral knee positioning are not included; lateral imaging is cross-table only. |

<Card title="Projection expectations" icon="circle-info" type="note">
  The projections listed on this page are confirmed examples for this simulation module. They do not define the full limit of what can be attempted. The simulator creates an image from the selected anatomy, patient position, joint movement, detector setup, tube position, collimation, and exposure settings, so other projections may be possible when the setup supports them.

## Imaging capabilities

| Capability          | Details                                                                                                                                            |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Radiographic tube | Full range of motion, including vertical, horizontal, tilt, and rotation. The cassette can be rotated, and collimation size is adjustable. |
| Detector methods | The detector is set up for free plating and use with a mobile detector cart. The patient is set up for a cross-table lateral projection. |
| Simulated exposures | Confirmed support for AP and cross-table lateral views. Additional views may be possible depending on patient range of motion and available bones. |

## Anatomy and movement

| Area             | Details                                                                                                            |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Included anatomy | Tibia, fibula, femur, and patella. |
| Joint mobility | Hip internal and external rotation. Leg adduction and abduction. Patient craniocaudal and mediolateral adjustment. |

## Bone variations

* Healthy bone version
* Pathological version featuring osteoarthrosis

## Known limitations

The patient remains supine and cannot be positioned standing. For lateral knee imaging, only a cross-table projection is currently possible because the patient cannot be rotated onto their side.
