If Your Institution Uses Central or Silent Deployment

If your IT department normally installs or updates software automatically (for example, through a silent install, software center, or central distribution system), please do not attempt a manual upgrade. Instead:
  • Notify your IT department that a new version is available.
  • Share the download link and ask them to deploy it when convenient.

Manual upgrade steps

Step 1: Download the Installer

  1. Visit the official X-ray Simulator download page: Download
  2. Choose the correct installer for your edition (Desktop or VR).
  3. Save the file to your computer - for example, in your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Run the Installer

  1. Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start the installation.
  2. If prompted by Windows for permission, click “Yes” to allow the installer to make changes.
Administrator Rights Required: You may need administrator privileges to install or update the software. If you do not have admin rights, please contact your IT department for assistance.
  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  2. Once installation finishes, launch the simulator and verify it opens correctly.
